Group Lessons

We run a range of term-time and holiday English and maths courses for children aged five to sixteen.   Each session is taught by a Lead Tutor who plans the lessons using our unique programmes of study based on the National Curriculum.  These programmes incorporate specific learning strategies and memory boosting techniques that can be applied to all subjects, assisting the children in becoming effective lifelong learners.  Lessons are a blend of computer-based activities, games and worksheets and are designed to be interactive and fun.

Although the lessons are planned for a group, every child is treated as an individual and activities are differentiated, taking into consideration each child’s ability and learning needs.  All our group lessons have a maximum of six or eight pupils (depending on age range) and are supported by at least one Assistant Tutor, providing the opportunity for individual support where needed.

Fees: Small group lesson: £22 + VAT (£26.40 inc VAT)

Individual Lessons

Individual lessons are bespoke courses, tailored exactly to your child’s needs, according to your requirements.  The sessions may focus on one subject area or a particular aspect of a subject, such as writing; or they could be a mixture of maths and English.

Lessons take place within a classroom setting alongside up to three other individual pupils, where each child has their own screened work area incorporating a computer and workstation.  Each session is supervised by the Lead Tutor and supported by an Assistant Tutor.  This ratio allows plenty of time for one-to-one tuition, ensuring each pupil is given all the support they need.

Following a detailed initial assessment, the Lead Tutor will prepare a programme of study that your child will work through individually during a weekly, hour-long lesson. Each session comprises a mixture of direct teaching by the Lead Tutor and / or Assistant Tutors, computer activities, games and worksheets.  As with all our lessons, the emphasis is on fun and confidence building and your child will be taught specific learning strategies and memory boosting techniques that can be applied throughout school and beyond.

Fees: Individual lesson: £27 + VAT (£32.40 inc VAT)

Assessment Sessions

If you would like your child to be assessed before booking a course of lessons, we offer a range of assessments from ability tests to assess potential for 11+ to diagnostic screening that can pick up underlying difficulties such as dyslexia. 

During this session, we will assess your child using one of our computer-based assessment packages that are presented in the form of a series of games.   Following on from this session, we will contact you to discuss the results and to advise you on the most suitable course.  If you decide to book your child in for further lessons, the first lesson booked will be free.

Fee for assessment: £30+ VAT (£36 inc VAT)     The assessment fee should be paid on or before the assessment date.
